Buck Gardner's Diver Call is extremely easy to operate. It simulates all the sounds made by
Ringneck, Bluebill, Canvasback, Redhead and Bufflehead ducks. This easy blowing call
gives you another tool in your arsenal and is a must on every lanyard in diver country.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Hold the call in your hand like a traditional duck call.
2. To make the diver sound, with the front of your mouth, role your tongue
as if making a drum role like sound. Your lips should also vibrate.
3. Make long notes of "BURRR BURRR BURRR" and then follow up with two
quick sharp "BARKS"
4. Opening and closing your fingers will give the call higher and lower pitches
needed for the various species of divers. Ringnecks and Bluebills
have a higher and lower pitch to their vocabulary. Canvasback have a deeper,
but softer call. Buffleheads have a high pitch call.
5. When divers are at a distance, start with a loud quick set of high barks. As the
flock nears, lower the pitch and add your BURRRs and sharp BARKs.
