The Kershaw Kingbolt 1346 is a seemingly simple pocket knife that opens quickly. When opening the knife with the flipper or thumb stud the blade is namely supported by an assisted opening mechanism. This is a spring that, as you push the thumb stud, gets to work and opens the blade. As such you can immediately get started. Because of its appealing price this knife does not belong in a showcase. It is meant to be used. The stainless steel handle feels great in hand and the blade is made from 8Cr13MoV steel. A simple stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well. Also good to know: you can easily sharpen this type of steel. As such you will neve leave home with a blunt knife.
