The Triple Trap's triangular, fast floating body may bring to mind certain popular crankbaits of years gone by, but it builds upon that heritage to create a heavy-duty lure made to burn through cover and attract bass that stay pinned to beefed-up hardware. It runs just like a crawfish, tight to the bottom, and thanks to its coffin-shaped bill it deflects like crazy, which makes it exceptional for riprap. It dives down to 8 feet deep to get into that slightly deeper zone and is "weaponized" with #2 trebles.
Anglers from trophy largemouth hunters on the California Delta to spotted bass experts on Georgia's Lake Lanier have used the Triple Trap Deep effectively year-round, but it's especially popular in the Carolinas, where pressured largemouths demand exacting presentations to fool them. The unique vibration triggers bites when fish are in a neutral mood, or exceptionally tight to cover, and because of its exceptional buoyancy it's our "go-to" whenever we're cranking boat ramps, riprap and other rock cover.
The Triple Trap comes in Standard and Deep models, so you can offer up the same productive body style and action in two distinct depth ranges as the bite changes throughout the day. Because they're made of dense Marupá Pedra wood from the Brazilian rainforest, they're substantially more castable than other lures in their category.
As with all Water Wood crankbaits, each Triple Trap Deep is water-tested, tuned and completely inspected before being put in the hands of serious anglers. No matter how many times or how hard you bang them off of riprap, they'll require minimal tuning thanks to the premium components, which means more time in the strike zone.
